Marta Cristina Silva Pimentel da Silva was awarded last year with the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus (CEEC) on the 3rd edition promoted by FCT. Actually, Marta Pimentel is a Junior Researcher at the Marine and Environmental Science Centre (MARE), University of Lisbon Faculty of Sciences (FCUL). She completed the PhD in Sea Sciences in 2016 by the University of Lisbon Faculty of Sciences (FCUL); completed master's courses in oceanography and limnology in the Erasmus program at Universiteit Van Amsterdam in 2006; the bachelor degree in environmental marine biology in 2006 by FCUL; the Master in Aquaculture in 2008 by Instituto Canario de Ciencias Marinas, Universidad De Las Palmas De Gran Canaria, CIHEAM. In 2006 she worked an aquaculture technician from the IAESTE program in C-Mar from Queen's University in Belfast and between 2008 and 2010 she worked as a superior laboratory and aquaculture technician at the Institut de Recerca i Tecnologia Agroalimentàries and at the IES EIs Alfacs School, Spain. Actually, she is also lecturing animal physiology practical classes from the Bachelor Degree in Biology, at the University of Lisbon Faculty of Sciences and an invited assistant professor at the Setúbal School of Technology, Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal teaching aquaculture and marine resources. She has a h-index of 18 and 1011 citations from 687 documents. She has published 35 articles in specialized magazines, 1 book chapter and submitted 3 articles. Recently, two of her articles were cited in the lattest IPCC report. She organized 10 events and participated in 13 events. She is a convenor for conservation physiology in the Society for Experimental Biology and treasurer in the Portuguese Society of Ethology. She supervised 5 master's thesis and 2 bachelor degree internship thesis. She received 4 awards and / or honors. She participated as research fellow in 3 projects, technician in 4 projects, researcher in 7 projects, and as PI in 1 project. She works in the Natural Sciences area with an emphasis on Biological Sciences.
