David dos Santos Albuquerque concluded his PhD degree of Biological Anthropology at the University of Coimbra in 2015. He is an Assistant Researcher at the Research Centre for Anthropology and Health (CIAS) at the University of Coimbra in collaboration with the Valencia Hospital Foundation for Investigation (Valencia, Spain). He published 22 articles in specialized journals and papers in proceedings of 7 events. He published 5 book chapter in an international publisher. He has 49 items of technical production. He received 7 awards, which the best investigation award in pediatrics in 2013 by the Portuguese Association for the Study of obesity (SPEO), and two distinctions in 2018; an Honorable Mention of the Colegio Oficial de Veterinarios de Valladolid, and Real Academia de Medicina de Cádiz Award.
