PMajored in Biochemistry at the Faculty of Sciences from the Universidade do Porto in Portugal. PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium trough the PhD program GABBA (Graduate program in Areas of Basic and Applied Biology) also from the Universidade do Porto. As a researcher, my domain of expertise were early developmental biology and the role of growth factors during development using mouse and embryonic stem cell models. Now, I changed gears and I work on clinical research. I am a clinical study coordinator and clinical data manager both in pharma- and in investigator-initiated clinical trials at Instituto de Medicina Molecular and Hematology Department of the Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon.
