Patrícia V. Silva is a Researcher at Department of Biology/CESAM, Universitiy of Aveiro (UA). She holds a Bachelor Degree in Biology and Geology (2009), a Master Degree in Applied Biology, with specialization in Toxicology and Ecotoxicology (2011), and a PhD Degree in Biology and Ecology of Global Change (2021, Cum Laude) by UA. After her PhD, Patrícia worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Department of Materials and Ceramic Engineering and CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials (UA), within the project NATURAL - Nano-clays for removal/capture of phosphates (P) and their reuse as fertilizer. Patrícia has extensive experience in (nano)ecotoxicology of terrestrial and aquatic compartments, particularly in bioaccumulation and toxicokinetic assessments. She is/has been a member of several national and international R&D projects, namely TBTRESENSE, NanoFATE, RePULSE, NanoFASE, NATURAL, ENTOSAFE, COAT4LIFE, TERRA, SENSE, ETERNAL, and collaborator of NANOFARM, NanoHarmony and PARC. Patrícia is PI of the project "SENSE: SustainablE Nano Strategies for water remediation: Estarreja as a case study" funded by the International Observatory Hommes-Milieux Estarreja. In her professional activity Patrícia collaborated with several research groups from academia and industry, as showed by her participation in national and international projects and by her co-authorship of several scientific papers and communications. Se is also involved in the harmonization of protocols for ecotoxicity testing of nanomaterials. She is (co)author of 14 ISI papers and 56 communications to national and international conferences, and has also been involved in the dissemination of scientific knowledge for specialized and non-specialized audiences, teaching and science/project management (RESTORE4Cs). She supervise(d)/mentor(ed) BSc, MSc and PhD students.
