Maria Eduarda Moreira Pinheiro dos Santos Oliveira concluiu a Licenciatura em Biotecnologia em 2013 pelo Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo e o Mestrado em Ciências da Sáude - Neurociências em 2015 pela Universidade do Minho, Escola de Medicina. Na licenciatura integrou no Programa Erasmus na Polónia e realizou um estágio curricular em Valência, no IBMCP, Universidade de Valência. Durante o mestrado especializou-se em neurociências e diversas técnicas laboratoriais, resultante do trabalho executado na tese, que incluía biomateriais, culturas celulares, microscopia, testes in vivo, entre outros. Durante o mestrado foi primeira autora de um artigo científico publicado numa revista internacional.
