Youtha Cuypers is an Assistant Professor of Strategy at Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal. She received her PhD in Organization and Strategy from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses on corporate development activities, including mergers and acquisitions, alliances, and joint ventures, and other forms of collaboration, such as supplier-buyer ties. More precisely, she examines the determinants of relationship duration and the performance implications of inter-organizational collaboration and M&As, drawing in particular on research on experiential learning and experience spillovers. Her work has, for example, appeared in the Strategic Management Journal and has been presented at several international leading conferences in Management, Strategy and International Business. In addition, her research has received, or was nominated for, several Best Paper awards at the Strategic Management Society’s annual meeting, the Academy of Management Annual Conference and the Academy of International Business Annual Meeting. She currently also serves as Representative at Large for the Corporate Strategy interest group of the Strategic Management Society.
