Sara Rafaela Mendes graduated from Biology by the Faculty of Sciences, in 2016, and completed her MSc in Medicine and Molecular by the Faculty of Medicine of University of Porto, in 2018. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Department Sport and Physical Education and the Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Development (CIDESD), at the University Institute of Maia (ISMAI) and works in the area of Sports Science with an emphasis in mechanisms that drive muscle wasting and cause fatigue, which are common in CKD.
