Bachelor in Chemist with M.Sc in organic chemistry from Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (Brazil) and PhD in Natural Science from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg and Leibniz-Institut für Pflanzenbiochemie (IPB), Germany. From 04/2020 to 07/2021 was a full professor in the Chemical Engineering Department of Faculdade de Telêmaco Borba (PR, Brazil). Currently, she is a Researcher Level 1 at University of Aveiro (Portugal) working with the valorization of lignocellulosic materials using green solvents, such as Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES); synthesis and analysis of nanomaterials, such as lignin nanoparticles; and valorization of wood natural resin through improvements in resin techniques and derivatizations, with the aim of increasing the production and sustainability of forestry product. She possesses expertise in organic chemistry, chemistry of natural products, and analytical chemistry, including analysis of different materials by NMR, HPLC, GC, IC, MS, MALDI-TOF, IR, UV-Vis, ICP-OES, among others analytical techniques.
