Daniela Costa completed her BSc degree, in Biochemistry, in 2019 by University of Minho and her MSc degree in Molecular Genetics in University of Minho, in 2022. Daniela Costa performed research at ICVS (Life and Health Sciences Research Institute) as an internship trainee of Doctor Rute Moura team and Msc degree student. Daniela was the co-author of a review article entitled "Developmental pathways underlying lung development and congenital lung disorders" in Cells journal. During the Master degree, she presented her research at 4 conferences both national and international. Daniela was awarded a travel grant to present her work at The Francis Crick Institute in London, UK. In the final year of her Master studies, Daniela supervised a bachelor final project titled "Evaluation of the teratogenic potential of metformin in embryonic development.". Interests in molecular biology, biomedicine, health sciences and signaling pathways. At the moment, Daniela is an affiliated researcher in ICVS performing research in the field of autophagy in Doctor Paula Ludovico's team. Meanwhile, she has supervised two more bachelor final projects titled "Analysis of autophagy in different organs (heart and lung) of Acomys Cahirinus subjected to different diets" and "Characterization of ATG16 expression in an acute myeloid leukemia cell line" and a Medicine 3rd year project titled "TNF-a profile in Fabry’s disease patients with the GLAp.Phe113Leu mutation". In the last year, she presented her work in 2 conferences, one of which organized by EMBO.
