Ben Seghier received his PhD from the University M'hamed Bougara of Boumerdes in Algeria in the field of safety and integrity of petroleum structures. Since then, he has worked at various universities in Vietnam, Portugal, Hong Kong and Germany. He has specialised in deterioration modeling, particularly corrosion in steel structures, as well as the safety of infrastructures in various environments. Dr. Ben Seghier has received numerous honors and prestigious fellowships, including the Hong Kong Research Council Fellowship, the Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship, and the Marie Skodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship.
