Rita Oliveira has a master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. During her academic training she has done four research internships (group of Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology, IBILI; group of Mitochondria and Neurodegenerative Diseases, CNC; group of Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery, FFUC; and Research and Innovation department, Bluepharma Pharmaceutical Industry). After completing her academic training, she joined the research and innovation department of Bluepharma Pharmaceutical Industry, where she worked as a formulation scientist in the search for and development of innovative drug delivery systems. Currently, she is a PhD student in the Medicinal Chemistry and Drug Discovery group at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Coimbra. Her research is mainly focused in the oncology field and combines computer-aided drug design methodologies with molecular biology to speed up the drug discovery process.
