I finished my graduation in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 26/06/2002 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Oporto (Portugal), and the PhD in Analytical Chemistry in 19/07/2007 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Oporto, with the thesis entitled ¿Development of multicommutated flow systems with amperometric and voltammetric detection¿. From 2008 to 2009 I worked at the Proteomics Unit ¿ IPATIMUP (Portugal) as a post-doc researcher, in the European project entitled ¿Discovery of novel cancer serum biomarkers based on aberrant post-translational modifications of O-glycoproteins, O-PTM-Biomarkers, and their application to early detection of cancer¿ (grant provided by the Seventh Framework Programme Theme HEALTH-2007-2.4.1-2 Health). From 2012 to 2021 I worked as a professor and researcher at the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State (México). I have published more than 20 research articles in specialized journals on the themes of development of analytical methodologies based in flow techniques, discovery of cancer glycobiomarkers and construction of impedimetric biosensors for the detection of cancer glycobiomarkers. I am the author of one book and two book chapters. I have received two awards. My research has been focused on Electrochemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Biotechnology applied to health issues. Since 2021 I have collaborated as e-learning teacher at the Unidade de Aprendizagem ao Longo da Vida at Universidade Aberta (Portugal), in online courses related with pharmaceutical and health sciences.
