Physiotherapist graduated from the University of Vale do Itajaí (Univali), Santa Catarina, Brazil in 2004. Completed a professional specialisation in Exercise Physiology at the University of Veiga de Almeida (UVA), in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 2006. Completed his Doctorate in Physiotherapy at the Universidade Cidade de São Paulo (UNICID/Brazil) in 2022. Worked as a full professor at Inspirar College (Santa Catarina/Brazil), teaching Functional Kinetic Diagnosis and Functional Kinesiotherapy. Worked for two years as a scientific-technical consultant at OttoBock do Brasil, a subsidiary of the German international manufacturer of orthopaedic prostheses. Worked for 16 years as a clinical physiotherapist in orthopaedic rehabilitation after lower limb (mainly knee) surgery, with extensive experience in clinical orthopaedics and sports physiotherapy. Worked for 15 years with isokinetic dynamometry (Cybex/HumacNorm), mainly treating professional footballers from Brazilian teams such as Avai FC, Figueirense FC, Criciuma FC, Tubarão FC and Corinthians FC, as well as orthopaedic patients undergoing rehabilitation after knee surgery. Worked with three-dimensional motion analysis using active and passive motion capture systems (Vicon cameras and inertial sensors). Worked for 10 years with kinematic analysis of cyclists, runners and triathletes - using bike fitting and running gait retraining techniques. He has technical training and certification in the following biomechanical approaches: kinanthropometry, biophotogrammetry, isokinetic dynamometry, surface electromyography, baropodometry and three-dimensional motion analysis systems using both inertial sensors and video capture. Between October 2014 and December 2021, he was a partner in the WINNER Sports Clinical Centre. An interdisciplinary clinic focused on sports and exercise medicine located in the city of Florianopolis, Brazil; he was in charge of both the sports biomechanics analysis laboratory (WinnerLab) and the administrative management of the clinic. He currently works as a Post Doctorate Researcher for the Egas Moniz Interdisciplinary Research Centre (CiiEM) of the Egas Moniz School of Health & Sciences, a health-related university located in Almada City, Portugal.
