Verónica Rocha completed her PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering in 2024 at the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB) at the University of Minho. Her doctoral research, titled "Immobilization of Eco-friendly Nanoparticles on Different Materials: Towards Promising Nanoplatforms for Pollutant Removal from Water", focused on innovative approaches to environmental remediation. She holds a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2013) and a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the University of Porto (2015). Verónica Rocha has contributed to research projects, including "Rehabilitation of Contaminated Natural Systems – Advanced Bioremediation Towards Sustainability" and "ATLANTIDA – Platform for Monitoring the North Atlantic Ocean and Tools for the Sustainable Exploitation of Marine Resources". Currently, she is a researcher at the Centre for Textile Science and Technology (2C2T) at the University of Minho, where she develops sustainable, eco-friendly functionalization and finishing processes with reduced environmental impact. To date, Verónica Rocha has published 13 peer-reviewed scientific articles (6 as first author, 7 as co-author, and 4 as corresponding author) in international journals and 2 book chapters.
