Andréa M Diogo holds a MA degree in Art History, Heritage and Visual Culture (2018, FLUP) and a BA degree in Art History (2017, FLUP). Under an ERASMUS+ placement, she worked as an intern at the Irish Film Institute (2019) where she acquired knowledge and experience in film preservation and cataloguing systems, while contacting with Irish and British cinema expressions. The main fields of her research focus on Art History, Visual Culture, Moving Image, and New Media, including Heritage Studies. Through the latter, she was able to co-develop and deliver two virtual exhibitions, in partnership with Google Arts & Culture, namely, ‘Bell Traditions: between the tangible and intangible’ (2015) and ‘Porto de Virtudes’ (2017). While affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto (FLUP), Andréa was also a member of the organisation committee of ‘Semana da História da Arte’ [Art History Week] (2009-2020) , ‘Encontros de Fotografia’ [Encounters with Photography] (2015-2019), both promoted by the Department of Heritage Studies (DCTP-FLUP); as well as a member of the editorial board of REVELAR (2015-2020), a scientific journal of photography and image studies (doi: 10.21747/17775302/rev). She was awarded a PhD scholarship by FCT (2020) and is presently a PhD Researcher under a Dual Doctorate programme between Queen’s University Belfast (Film and Visual Studies) and University of Porto (Heritage Studies).
