Daniela Alexandra Martins Gonçalves holds a master's degree in Biological Engineering, with specialization in Biotechnology and Food Technology, completed in 2017, at the University of Minho. Her scientific path started as a research fellow at the Biological Engineering Center (CEB), University of Minho, with the development of new strategies for high-purity fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS) production (2017–2018). The work developed led to one published article, in the Carbohydrate Polymers journal, and one oral communication at a conference with peer-review, Microbiotec'17. She is currently in a PhD program in Food Science, Technology and Nutrition, at University of Minho, and since January 2021 until December 2022 she is a research bursar in the cLabel+ project aiming the development of innovative natural, nutritious and consumer-oriented clean label foods. In 2022, she participated in two book chapters, both published by Elsevier, and she was a co-author in a scientific article published in the Foods journal. In 2023 she won a "Born from Knowledge Award" from ANI, published an article in the Food Research International journal and was a co-author in a scientific article published at Food and Bioprocess Technology journal.
