In this moment I am a phD student at ITQB NOVA, in the doctoral program "The Biology at the Host Microbe Interface (INTERFACE)", under the supervision of Dra. Mónica Serrano and Professor Adriano O. Henriques. I completed my bachelor degree in Biochemistry in 2015 by Universidade de Lisboa Faculdade de Ciências, and my master degree in Medical Microbiology in 2018 by ITQB NOVA. I have focused my research activities in the area of Microbiology emphasis in Microbial Genetics and Biochemistry, with special incidence on the genetic analysis of development in the spore-forming pathogen Clostridioides difficile, specifically during sporulation process. I have experience in the genetic manipulation of bacteria, in the processing and analysing fluorescence microscopic images and in protein purification, structure and activity. I have published 1 book chapter and 2 papers in international peer reviewed journals, I am the first author in one. I have participated in national and international meetings, in which I presented as oral (4) or posters (8) of my work.
