I am a Biomedical Engineer, with a MSc degree in Micro/Nanotechnologies and a PhD in Bioengineering (MIT- Portugal) from the University of Minho. Currently, I am an post-doc researcher at the Centre of Biological Engineering (CEB) of Minho University (UM). I am enthusiast for knowledge and for its transfer from academia to industry. I have multidisciplinary formation, knowledge, and fascination for the areas of bioengineering and environmental biotechnology. My interests are related with the design and projection of effective solutions to address environmental issues, applying biotechnological processes and making them more efficient, sustainable and energetically effective. Over the years, my path has been dedicated by sharing knowledge and experiences with a view to my constant professional and personal development. During my research career I have published scientific articels (12 published; 1 under review; 3 submitted) in international journals, 8 posters and 12 oral communications in national and international conferences.
