Manuel António da Silva Abrantes

Manuel Abrantes is a sociologist and writer, born in Lisbon, Portugal, in 1982. His research and teaching activities focus on employment and social inequalities. He is the author of several award-winning short stories and a novel, as well as scientific articles and book chapters. He earned a Master's Degree in Comparative Labour and Organisation Studies from the University of Amsterdam (2008) and a PhD in Economic and Organisational Sociology from the University of Lisbon (2014).
