MARLENE SUSANA DIONISIO LÚCIO completed her PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry on 2006/11/29 and her degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences on 1999/06/30 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto. In the teaching field, she was a contracted assistant professor and invited assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (2006-2008; 2011-2012). She was also an Invited Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (2010-2011) and an Invited Associate Professor at the Physics Department of the University of Minho (2015-2017). She is an Assistant Researcher at the Physics Center of the Universities of Minho and Porto and at the Center for Molecular and Environmental Biology of the University of Minho. She has published 86 articles in international journals. She has 14 book chapters and is the editor of a book. She organized/was on the scientific committee of 3 events. She has given 44 invited talks (keynotes, invited talks and seminars). She is the main supervisor of 3 doctoral theses (1 completed) and co-supervisor of 4 doctoral theses (2 completed). She has supervised 13 master's theses and co-supervised 4. She has supervised 1 undergraduate/bachelor's degree final paper and co-supervised 6. She has received 14 awards and/or recognitions. She has participated as a Research Fellow in 2 projects, Executive Researcher in 6 projects and Principal Investigator in 14 projects, as well as supervising fellows in 11 projects. She is the promoter and founder of an entrepreneurship project: EyeOnDrug (https://www.eyeondrug.com/) - nanotechnology-based products and services for in vitro profiling, and is the promoter and co-founder of an entrepreneurship project BPatch. Both were awarded grants by IAPMEI in the Start-Up - Vouchers program and both received evolution awards in the same programs. She works in the areas of Exact Sciences with an emphasis on Chemistry and Chemistry of Colloids, Natural Sciences with an emphasis on Biophysics, Medical and Health Sciences with an emphasis on Basic Medicine and Pharmacology and Pharmacy and Engineering Sciences and Technologies with an emphasis on Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials. In her professional activities she has interacted with 360 collaborators in co-authoring scientific papers.
