Maria Martins is a plant researcher whose interests rely on understanding how plants modulate their redox status to face the current ever-changing environment, to further find new tools to increase plants resilience towards adverse growth conditions. During her scientific path, M. Martins published (as author/co-author) more than 10 articles in journals of her area of interest, also being strongly dedicated to science communication and dissemination activities. In 2021, M. Martins was also involved in the organization of three international scientific meetings. Currently, M. Martins is a PhD student of GreenUPorto/FCUP and CIIMAR/FCUP and she is focused on understanding if wrack, a residue from marine origin, can be a promising tool to increase agroecosystems resilience.
