Maria Antónia Nunes completed the Mestrado in Consumer Sciences and Nutrition in 2012 by University of Porto/Faculty of Sciences, Licenciatura in Nursing in 2000 by Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra/Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Bissaya Barreto and Licenciatura in Nutritional Sciences in 2007 by University of Porto/Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences. Currently, she is a Researcher and PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences - Nutrition and Food Science Speciality by the University of Porto/Faculty of Pharmacy since 2017. Published 20 articles in journals. Has 10 sections of books. Has 2 patents registered. She supervised 1 MSc Seminar, co-supervised 1 MSc dissertation and 6 other students. Has received 9 awards. Participated as a Research Fellow in 2 projects. Before devoting herself to research, she has worked for 14 years in different areas as health care (as a nurse), clinical nutrition, food safety, school nutrition, food services and the food industry (as a nutritionist). She has professional training in Environmental Management, Food Safety, Quality Management Systems and Audits. Works in the areas of Medical and Health Sciences with an emphasis on Nutrition and Dietetics and Agrarian Sciences with emphasis on Agrarian and Food Biotechnology. In their professional activities interacted with 97 collaborators co-authorship of scientific papers.
