Daniel da Silva Correia completed his MSc in Mechanical Engineering in 2021 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), having spent the 1st semester of 2019/2020 at Politecnico di Milano (PoliMi) as part of the ERASMUS+ program. He is a PhD Student at the same Institution, and a Research Fellow at the Advanced Joining Processes Unit (AJPU), one of the research units of the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (INEGI), where he works in the field of adhesive bonding, with an emphasis on adhesive characterisation. He has published 3 articles and 1 book chapter, as author, and 3 article, as co-author, in specialized scientific journals and books in the field. He has 1 patent pending on a novel testing method to fully characterise an adhesive in a single test.
