Ana Filipa Gonçalves Rodrigues completed her Master's degree in Applied Biochemistry in 2022 at the University of Madeira, following her Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry in 2020, at the same institution. Currently, she is a research intern at the Laboratory of Bioanalysis, Biomaterials, and Biotechnology (LB3) at the University of Madeira and a junior researcher at the Interdisciplinary Centre of Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) at the University of Porto. Over the past year, she has published 3 articles in high-impact scientific journals and co-supervised 2 Bachelor's thesis projects in Biochemistry at the University of Madeira. She had the opportunity to collaborate with the Spanish Algae Bank (BEA) research group, expanding her knowledge of microalgae/cyanobacteria and their biotechnological applications. Additionally, she has presented 7 papers at international conferences and has begun serving as a reviewer for international journals (IF > 5.8). She has extensive experience in handling analytical techniques such as UV-visible and infrared spectroscopy, optical microscopy, fluorimetry, chromatography, electrophoresis, dynamic light scattering, and mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF). Her research focuses on marine and environmental biochemistry, aiming to develop sustainable solutions for environmental and biotechnological challenges.
