Ana Marta Azevedo received her MSc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto in 2013. She is currently in the third year of her Ph.D. program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at LAQV, REQUIMTE, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto, under the supervision of Prof. M. Lúcia Saraiva and Prof. João Santos. Her current research interests focus on the synthesis and sensing applications of tunable solid-phase organic ionic materials (GUMBOS and nanoGUMBOS). She has also been devoted to the study of toxicity of these new materials as well as ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents.
