Davide martins completed his PhD in Plant Biology at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica António Xavier (ITQB-NOV) at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2022), with the thesis entitled "The genetics and mechanisms of resistance to powdery mildew and rust in Lathyrus sativus". In 2015, he completed his master's degree in Plant Biotechnology and Biodiversity at the University of Coimbra, Faculty of Sciences and Technology. Since 2024, he is a Junior Researcher at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, Centro de Investigação Montanha.
