2021/12/08 - Current | We experimented with open-source software, such as tesseract, pdftk and pdfsandwich. We provided tools for the participants
to get acquainted with the labour and dependence levels implicit in each process step.
Our goal was to unlock a collective reflection upon the social dimension of digital libraries, the frictions between physical
and digital matter, the potential of creating precise documentation on the historical importance of a book, and the required
actors participating in such streams. (2021/12/08)

2019/10/04 - 2020/02/18 | Text Launderette — A workshop using a home-made, DIY book scanner, and open-source software to scan, process, and add digital
features to printed texts brought by the participants to the workshop. Shadow libraries operate outside of legal copyright
frameworks, in response to decreased open access to knowledge. This workshop aimed to extend our research on libraries, their
sociability, and methods by which we can add provenance to texts included in public or private, legal or extra-legal collections. (2020/02/18 - 2020/02/18)

2019/06/20 - 2019/06/20 | Blurry Boundaries — Select, annotate, analyze, scan, correct, digitize, print, read, transfer, erase, encode, curate, hack,
interface, work, copy... How do we reveal the hidden labour involved in these processes? What libraries become possible when
you transform physical books into digital files, and vice versa? In this workshop participants were asked to enhact librarians,
converting books into machine readable files, a process involving tools, time and choices. (2019/06/20 - 2019/06/20)
