Ricardo A. Marques Lameirinhas received the PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa, with the thesis entitled “Nanoantennas and Biosensors: An Integrated Approach”, in November 2024. His work was approved with distinction and honour, the maximum classification, which was also reached by his MSc dissertation in Electrical and Computer Engineering approved in June 2020 by Instituto Superior Técnico – Universidade de Lisboa. He is researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações, on the Applied Electromagnetics Group. He is working in the area of Engineering and Technology with emphasis on Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His work interests are optoelectronic devices, photonics, semiconductors, and photovoltaic technology. Focused on these application areas, he is also working on the development of novel tools based on analytical and numerical methods. He has published more than 40 articles in international journals, and he participated in 3 international conferences. For 3 times he served as Guest Editor, and he usually review articles for international journals. He has received 10 awards and/or honours.
