Roberta Dutra de Andrade

Award-winning academic, innovation strategist, and startup mentor with over 15 years of experience bridging the gap between research, entrepreneurship, and education across Europe and Latin America. Currently a PhD candidate in Management at the University of Beira Interior (UBI), Portugal, focusing on Digital Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. My academic output comprises over 100 scientific contributions, including more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles, 30+ international conference papers, and several book chapters published by major academic presses, such as Springer. With over 230 citations, an H-index of 7, and a Research Interest Score of 190.3, my work has gained significant visibility in academic and applied innovation contexts. I have secured and managed over €90,000 in research scholarships and led projects with a combined budget exceeding €500,000, including European Union-funded initiatives (e.g., EIT Food, ENTRANCE, AqvATOPIC). I developed assistive technologies for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, culminating in first place at the prestigious Engineer Jaime Filipe Technological Innovation Award (€10,000 prize). As the founder and director of the INOVE Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre, I supervised over 250 startups and spin-offs, coordinated regional acceleration programmes, and spearheaded over 100 workshops, hackathons, and training events.
