André Miguel Trindade Pereira (AMP) obtained his Doctorate in Physics from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Porto in 2010, following his Master's degree in Computational Methods in Science and Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at the same university in 2005. Presently, he holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto, while concurrently serving as an Academic Visitor at Imperial College London. Throughout his academic trajectory, Dr. Pereira engaged in various international research endeavors, including a three-month internship in neutron diffraction at the Spallation Neutron Scattering facility at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA. He also conducted experiments at the Institute Laue Langevin in France and Universidad de Zaragoza in Spain, accumulating a breadth of experience in diverse scientific environments. Additionally, he underwent training programs at prominent research facilities such as the National Pulsed Magnetic Field Laboratory in Toulouse, France, and the High Magnetic Fields facility in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Dr. Pereira has made significant contributions to the scientific community, with over 150 peer-reviewed articles published in esteemed journals, alongside two authored books. His accomplishments have been recognized through the reception of 13 awards and honors, and he holds several patents stemming from his innovative research endeavors.
