André Filipe Vidinha Mira (26 years old) completed his graduation in Human Biology in 2019/07 at Évora's University - Science and Technology School. During his graduation, he perfomed an internship on the subject of Optogenetics in a Drosophila melanogaster model at CEDOC (Chronic Diseases Research Centre), in Lisbon, under the supervision of Doctor César Mendes. He completed his Master Course in Neurobiology in 2021/10 at Porto's University - Medicine College. His master thesis was supervised by Doctor Andreia Teixeira-Castro at Minho's University - ICVS (Life and Health Sciences Research Institute), the subjet being the Impact of Serotonergic Signalling in Neurodegeneration, in which he worked with mice and developed a deep know-how of behavioural tests. In 2022/07 he joined a team in ICVS focused in Neural Trauma and Nervous System Regenerative Medicine as a Research Fellow, supervised by Doctor Nídia de Sousa, where he deepened his know-how on molecular and histological tissue analysis. At the moment he works as a Research Fellow, supervised by Doctor Nuno Silva, where he is deepening his know-how in in vitro models and electrical stimulation studies. During his time at ICVS, André participated in 9 scientific posters, having presented 4 as main author, winning a best poster presentation award with one of them.
