Irene Cadime completed a PhD in Psychology, specialization in Educational Psychology in 2012, at the University of Minho, Portugal. She is currently an assistant researcher at the Research Centre on Child Studies - University of Minho. Published 70 peer-reviewed papers in journals indexed in international databases, 15 book chapters, and 11 books. She participated as a researcher in nine funded research projects, and has successfully supervised several Master and PhD students. Irene Cadime is currently an associate editor of three international journals indexed in JCR and has collaborated as a reviewer in several international publications. She participated in the organization of several conferences and received four awards for works in the field of reading assessment and reading promotion. Her research areas are: Language development; Reading and Writing; Psychological assessment; Psychometrics; Reading disabilities; Web-based interventions; Executive functioning.
