Lino Manuel Serra Maia completed a PhD in civil engineering in 2011 at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP) and a degree in civil engineering in 2005 also at FEUP. He is currently an Assistant Researcher at FEUP, belonging to the research unit CONSTRUCT - Institute of Structural and Construction R&D. His main research interests are: sustainability and circular economy in construction, new construction materials, efficient and smart construction, self-compacting concrete, high-performance concrete, geopolymer concrete, low carbon concrete, recycled concrete, CDW, incorporation of by-products in construction, concrete structures, concrete durability, construction with 3D printing, artificial intelligence in construction, automation and digitalization of construction.
