Rita Moreira Carvalho earned her Master's degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Porto in 2023. Her research focuses primarily on physical chemistry and material chemistry, with particular emphasis on fundamental studies related to thin film fabrication through vapor deposition techniques, both organic and inorganic semiconductors, and the utilization of ionic liquids. Throughout her research career, Carvalho has made significant contributions, evidenced by the publication of three papers in international peer-reviewed journals and active participation in numerous national and international conferences. She has delivered three oral presentations and contributed to the creation and presentation of six scientific posters as an author or co-author. Additionally, Carvalho has been actively engaged in various organizational roles, including being a member of the local organization committee for the ILMAT2023 (7th International Conference on Ionic Liquid-Based Materials) and participating and helping the local organization in the Spertus 2022 reunion. She has also served as a trainer for the iCER.R Workshop (Innovation in Science Education), aimed at sharing knowledge and expertise with educators. Furthermore, she acted as a mentor for an undergraduate student, providing guidance and support in experimental procedures, data collection, and analysis.
