Francisco de Oliveira Martins da Câmara Borges holds a PhD in Biology: Marine Biology and Aquaculture, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (May 2024). Between 2016 and 2023 was associated to the Laboratórimo Marítimo da Guia of the Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre (MARE-UL), working as a researcher in numerous projects with vertebrate and invertebrate marine species in the context of climate change. He was a Senior Researcher for AIMM - Marine and Environment Research Association (ENGO) for one year, working in the study and conservation of marine megafauna in Southern Portugal. Currently, he is a Post-Doc Researcher at MARE-UL under the ERC project PLAnt - Planning for sustainable ocean use in Antarctica under global environmental change (https://www.plantproject.eu/). Francisco's research has a focus in the area(s) of Natural sciences with emphasis on Biological Sciences with emphasis on Marine Biology and Ecology, from experimental to ecological modelling.
