I am a researcher at the University of Silesia working on the synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials with an emphasis on their magnetic characteristics. Throughout my career, I have amassed a vast knowledge of advanced magnetic techniques, as evidenced by a number of international accolades (e.g., best poster presentation at the Baltic Conference in Spring 2017). The exploitation of the magnetic properties of several materials for distinct applications has been the core of my research, started during my Ph.D. in Physical Sciences & Technology (2015, University of Sfax, PHC-Maghreb grant). It resulted in the publication of 54 peer-reviewed papers (41 in the previous five years), 20 as the first author and 25 as the corresponding author, with over 950 citations and an h-index of 19. I presented (12) posters and (14) lectures, four of which were invited. I also received one award for the best poster at international conferences and participated in 6 (inter)national research projects with numerous partners from academia and industry. After my Ph.D., I participated in several national and 6 European projects (BPN/ULM/2021/1/00015, RAE5-100, Spanish MINECO grant MAT2017-87134-C2-2-R, PHC-Maghreb, CENTRO- 01-0145-FEDER- 000005, PTDC/FIS-QAM/29611/2017 MULTI SURF funded by EU and RU) as an early-stage researcher responsible for compositional and morphological characterization of materials. These adventures broadened my view of research and showed me how crucial it is to make discoveries in a way that benefits society and fills critical technology gaps. I was an assistant professor of physics at the University of Gafsa/Sfax for three years, teaching second-and third-year students practical and theoretical physics and magnetism and participating on the scientific Research Master's/Thesis Committee. I worked as an assistant researcher at the University of Coimbra in Portugal, the University of Aveiro in Portugal, and the Immanuel Kant Baltic University in Kaliningrad, where I taught master's level courses in condensed matter experimental physics and participated in both research and technical activities. My individual European project aimed at finding new magnetic materials was awarded financing in 2021 by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange Programs (Ulam NAWA, 2021 BPN/ULM/2021/1/00015, approved for ~70 k¿, in funding). The reviewers highlighted my proficiency in complex characterization as a strength of mine. As PI, I was able to apply my knowledge to a cause that would have a significant impact on the world. With the help of this project, I was able to establish a new line of research in the University of Silesia focused on the LaCaMnO-based magnetic cooling system, resulting in 5 submitted publications that are highly significant to the field. Furthermore, it fostered the formation of students under my supervision. Since 201, I have supervised 3 BSc, 8 MSc, and 6 Ph.D., not only in this topic but also in materials preparation and characterization. Currently, I supervise 2 PhDs in collaboration with other institutions (UA and UP), one dedicated to Catalysts for biomass gasification and the other to magnetic refrigeration properties of LaCaMnO3. In July 2022, I had been selected to lead the organizational care of the students at the VINCI Dive into Science-Interdisciplinary International Silesian Summer School. I participated also in seminars given by french students from Le Mans University with whom we have been conducting joint Polish-French studies. I had been invited by the organization of the Joint Meeting of PSRS Members and SOLARIS Centre Users, Poland, to give a talk about XPS analysis of Mn valence in lanthanum manganite and its effect on the properties of magnetism. I am also engaged in the organization of international conferences 2MA2017, 2MA2018 and IAPCS21, as I am committed to fostering research dissemination and cooperation among peers.
