João A. I. Miranda is a PhD candidate in Biochemistry/Systems Biology at BioISI, Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa (FCUL). He is the recipient of a research grant under the scope of the project FAIRification of YEASTRACT+ to Support Yeast-based Bioeconomy and Health at INESC-ID Lisboa. He has been researching cancer biology using computational approaches, including network science, mathematical modelling, and machine learning. During the past year, he has also lectured mathematical modelling of regulatory networks as a teaching assistant at FCUL. He has an MSc degree in Biochemistry and Biomedicine.
