Passionate and skilled, I possess a robust educational background in Biochemistry, complemented by a Master's degree in Medical Microbiology, slated for completion in March. My master's thesis, "Streptococcus pneumoniae super-Infection, an Inside Job?" revolves around the mysterious S. pneumoniae infection, with a central question guiding my research: Is pneumococcus an intracellular pathogen? This underscores my dedication to exploring the details of infection biology. My expertise is extended by the training courses I additionally frequented, Cell Culture Fundamentals, Cell Migration, and Fundamentals of Light Microscopy and Image Processing. I'm actively involved in the Intracellular Microbial Infection Biology Lab, developing my master's thesis. The knowledge acquired during this period improved my know-how of several techniques, such as cell culture and widefield and super-resolution microscopy. Simultaneously, I'm embracing the Criar Saberes Project at Universidade Lusófona, imparting fundamental scientific knowledge to high school students. Beyond my academic pursuits, my research ventures encompass the diverse applications of Vitis vinifera L. in food and cosmetic products. The "Preliminary Sensory Evaluation of Salty Crackers with Grape Pomace Flour" exemplifies my ability to provide valuable insights into product development. I've presented my findings at a conference, notably contributing to elucidating the "Application of Vitis vinifera L. as Bioactive in Food and Cosmetic Products." I successfully bridge scientific innovation with practical applications in the food and cosmetic industries. More recently, "The Super-Bug within Staphylococcus aureus as an intracellular pathogen" was one of the projects I was involved in. Holding solid analytical skills through solo and collaborative research, I aspire to continue my academic journey by applying to a doctoral program.
