Postdoctoral Researcher with the ECO Amazonia project at the Center for Social Studies, University of Coimbra. Research Fellow at the University of Cambridge (UK). Previously held postdoctoral positions at the Department of History of Science and Ideas, Uppsala University (Sweden), and the Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi (Brazil). He holds a PhD in History of Science from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP), a master’s degree in History of Science from the same institution, a Master of Arts from the University of Cambridge, and a bachelor’s degree in History from the Federal University of Pará (UFPA). During his doctoral studies, he conducted research at the Department of History of Science and Ideas at Uppsala University, the Hagströmer Medico-Historical Library (Sweden), and the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge. He is currently a research associate at the Center for Global Knowledge Studies and the World History Subject Group, both at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on Intellectual History and the History of Science, with an emphasis on topics such as the History of Anthropology, Ethno-sciences, Race and Science, Nature and Culture, and Science and Religion.
