Ricardo Páscoa completed his degree in Microbiology at ESB/UCP in 2005, a master degree in Environmental Analytical Chemistry at FFUP in 2006 and a PhD in 2011 in Biotechnology/Chemistry at ESB/UCP. After the PhD he went through a Post-PhD in Analytical Chemistry and Chemometrics in FFUP. Since 2018, he is working as a researcher in LAQV/REQUIMTE at FFUP through a FCT program (DL57/2016 ¿ Norma Transitória). His research has been focused on the use of vibrational spectroscopy techniques, namely NIR, MIR and Raman, coupled to chemometrics (multivariate data analysis) for the development of environmental friendly, inexpensive and rapid analytical techniques that can be applied in agro-food products/industry. His scientific production comprises 7 book chapters, 65 peer-reviewed papers in international journals with a total impact factor of 291, 1375 citations and H-index of 20. He has more than 50 presentations in international and national conferences. He co-elaborated a project proposal funded by QREN, SI Qualificacao PME/Vale Inovacao (2012), and a R&D project funded by FCT (PTDC/AGR-PRO/6817/2014). He has also participated in 2 projects (PTDC/AMB/64441/2006 funded by FCT and PP-IJUP2011-SOGRAPE-347 funded by SOGRAPE). He has co-supervised 2 PhD student (SFRH/SFRH/BD/91419/2012 and (SFRH/BD/ 122730/2016) and 1 MSc student from Quality Control MSc degree at Pharmacy Faculty of Porto.
