I have a degree in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade Federal Fluminense (Brazil) with Honors (First Class) from Monash University (Australia). I worked from August 2013 until February 2015 as a CAPES scholarship holder for the Science without Borders program, where I studied the Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University (sandwich degree - Australia). I am a specialist in Flow Cytometry from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (Brazil) and a Master of Science from the Instituto Sírio-Libanês de Ensino e Pesquisa (Brazil). I am currently undertaking Ph.D in Health Sciences at the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute (ICVS) at the University of Minho. I have four recent articles published in high-impact journals as first author and one as second author. I have strong knowledge in the culture of mesenchymal, embryonic and induced pluripotency stem cells (IPSCs). I have experience with molecular biology techniques (example: RT-qPCR), immunophenotyping by flow cytometry, protein analysis methods (western blot, electrophoresis and ELISA), preparation of samples for histological and immunohistochemical analyzes and preparation and handling of solutions. I have excellent command of academic writing and communication in English (fluent) or Portuguese. I am currently a PhD fellow at the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), working on the research project entitled "Impact of the Secretome of Induced Mesenchymal Stem Cells as a Therapeutic Option for the Treatment of Parkinson's Disease".
