Tânia Ribeiro Pereira

Tânia Ribeiro Pereira completed the PhD in Marine, Earth and Environmental Sciences in 2015 by the University of Algarve, the MSc in Marine Biology in 2007 by of University of Aveiro and the degree in Applied Biology in 2006 by the University of Minho. After completing the Project Management Executive Program from Porto Business School, she is currently a Science and Technology Manager and science communicator at Centro Interdisciplinar de Investigação Marinha e Ambiental of the University of Porto. She has been in charge of the communication of several projects, among which the Horizon project Eklipse, Mission Atlantic, GRINNAQUA and IGNITION, being part of the management team of Mission Atlantic and the project manager of both GRINNAQUA and IGNITION. She was part of the team that transitioned the Horizon project Eklipse into a self standing organization of which she was invited to become a member of the management team in 2022. Organized 30 events, most of which international and on different European countries, in coordination with local institutions. She was editor of a report for the EU DG-Mare, published 11 articles in journals and a section of a book. Co-supervised 1 PhD thesis. Supervised 4 MSc dissertations and co-supervised another 3, supervised 1 work of course completion of LSc/BSc and one technical school completion. She has received 3 international awards . Participated as Invited Scientist Fellow in 2 project, PhD Student in 1 project, researcher in 14 projects, Science and Technology Manager and Science Communicator in 2 projects. Before embarking in project management, she worked in the area of Natural sciences with emphasis on Earth and Environmental Sciences, Water Resources, Biological Sciences, Plant sciences, Ecology, Marine Biology. In her professional activities she interacted with 58 co-authorship of scientific papers.
