Amir Houshang Farivar Rad was born in Neishabour, Iran (1992). He has a M.S degree in Structural Engineering from Sharif University of Technology (ranked as 2nd top student, 2016), and received his bachelor degree from University of Birjand as Top-ranked student (2014). It is important to note that he received full fellowship awards to study at BS and MS programs (2010 and 2014). Besides, he received the best student award from Dept. of Engineering at University of Birjand for three consecutive years (2011-2013). It is interesting to note that during his BS and MS studies, he has worked with various professors both as teaching assistant (TA) and as research assistant (RA). Between 2011 and 2013, he was the president of the Civil Engineering Scientific Association of University of Birjand, and because of his brilliant performance received the best scientific and cultural activist from Social and Cultural Affairs at University of Birjand, in 2012 and 2013. Amir did his internship at Pardis Mohaseb Eng. Co. located at Birjand, Iran. Due to his work discipline and his technical knowledge, he was presented by a job offer to continue his career there (May 2013- Sep. 2014). Next, He worked at Paya Niroo Pazh which is a consulting engineering company which located in Mashhad, Iran (Oct. 2016- Sep. 2018). He was senior structural engineer there and his responsibilities consisted of managing the Energy Tunnel project, analysis and designing of different steel and concrete structures. Since Oct. 2018, he joined HED Structural Engineering Inc. located in Sharif University of Technology. His main responsibilities included of presenting new concept design and retrofitting options for Wood and Non-ductile Concrete Structures located in California, USA. To broaden his skills and expertise, he joined Fakoor Sanat Tehran (FST Co) which is a repetitious company in Mining, Metal and Petrochemicals industry of Iran (Since Feb. 2020). He is working there as Senior Structural Engineer. Also He is working as a freelancer in his specialty field including Nonlinear Analysis of different structural systems (both static and dynamic) and Structural Design since he graduated from Bachelor Program (Sep. 2014).
