Maria Isabel Gonçalves Fernandes. Concluiu o Doutoramento em Geologia em 2005 pela Universidade do Porto, o Mestrado em Geologia de Engenharia em 1989 pela Universidade Nova de Lisboa e a Licenciatura em Geologia em 1985 pela Universidade do Porto. É Professora Auxiliar com Agregação na Universidade de Lisboa desde 2015 e foi Professora Auxiliar na Universidade do Porto de 1999 a 2015. Publicou 17 artigos em revistas especializadas e 106 em conferências científicas. Possui 10 capítulos de livros e 2 livros. Atua na área de Ciências da Terra e do Ambiente, nomeadamente em Geologia. Realizou 98 estudos e relatórios de transferência de conhecimento para o setor produtivo, tanto na caracterização de agregados como em cartografia geológico-geotécnica.
