Catarina Cadima, PhD (Spatial Planning) is a researcher at the Research Centre for Territory, Transports and Environment (CITTA), Faculty of Engineering, University of Oporto (FEUP). She has been involved in national and international research projects. She has professional experience as a project manager, team member and co-author of several urban development plans, urban regeneration projects and architecture projects. Her scientific activity has included research in the areas of Spatial Planning and Sustainable Mobility. Her research focuses on active commuting, decision-making processes, mode choice and the impact of the financial crisis (natural hazards, wars and pandemic crisis) on mobility, inequalities and attitudes towards urban mobility. She has particularly interested in exploring the links between urban policy-making, new social organization forms, co-creation, low-carbon transport strategies and health. She assumes a proactive attitude towards new work experiences and scientific knowledge.
