PhD student with a special interest in marine macrophytes, habitat restoration and climate change. 3 years of experience as a research assistant. Currently working on the development of seagrass restoration strategies and their impact on seagrass physiology. Experienced in scientific writing, seagrass handling, sampling and carrying laboratory biochemical analysis, such as antioxidant activity, energy storage, photosynthetic pigments content and photosynthetic activity. Graduated with a MSc degree in Marine Biology from the University of Algarve in October 2021. Was awarded the grade of 19/20 for her MSc thesis. A few months later, published a scientific article investigating the physiological response of seagrass to marine heatwaves (2022). Was granted a research fellowship of one year after MSc graduation. Graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a major in Marine Sciences from the University of La Rochelle in 2018. Prior to joining university, studied biology, geology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, geography and philosophy for two years. Accomplished several research internships in France, Chile and Portugal, enriching her professionnal experience in modelling, ecology, taxonomy and plant physiology. Took a gap year in Australia in 2018-2019 to become profficient in English. Organised, disciplined, rigorous and dynamic person who enjoys being part of a team. Alizé aims to support scientific research, innovation, restoration & conservation of aquatic ecosystems threatened by anthropogenic and climatic pressures by undertaking a PhD in seagrass restoration.
