Margarida Isabel Nascimento Vaz

Margarida Vaz completed her Master's degree in Molecular Biomedicine in 2019 at the University of Aveiro (Department of Medical Sciences) and her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2017 at the University of Beira Interior (Faculty of Health Sciences). She has been a PhD candidate in Biomedicine at the University of Aveiro since September 2020, supported by an FCT PhD scholarship (UI/BD/151354/2021) from the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. She has published 5 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, organised 2 events, and participated in 12 scientific events. She has received 1 award/honour and has been involved as a research fellow in 1 research project. Her research areas fall within the Medical and Health Sciences, with a focus on Basic Medicine (Neurosciences), Medical Biotechnology (including cell, tissue, organ, or whole-organism manipulation technologies), and Health-Related Biotechnology.
