I am a Civil Engineer, graduated from the University of Coimbra, where I completed the Integrated Master's in Civil Engineering, with the specialty of Urbanism, Transport, Roads and Pavements. In the year I took the specialty courses, I entered the honor roll of the University of Coimbra, ranking in the top 3% of students with the highest grades. I attended the Doctoral Program in Spatial Planning, a program of the University of Coimbra in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto. I completed the doctorate on April 3, 2024, with Distinction and Honors. During the doctorate, I published 9 scientific articles in top journals in the fields of Urban and Transport Planning. During the doctorate, I was invited to teach classes in the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Coimbra, where I had the opportunity to teach specific subjects in the area of Urbanism, Transport, Roads and Pavements. Additionally, for the past two years, I have been a Tutor at Universidade Aberta, teaching a subject in the field of Environmental Sciences. Currently, I am an Invited Assistant Professor in the area of Urbanism, Transport, Roads and Pavements at the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Coimbra, with a 60% appointment. I am also an Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Technology and Management of Oliveira do Hospital, part of the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra, where I teach the course on Optimization in Territorial Planning in the Bachelor's program in Territorial Management, with 31% appoitment. I am part of the committee responsible for drafting the Technical Specifications for the SMTUC Network Reorganization Study, a committee contracted by the Coimbra City Council. This work is directly related to the area of Urbanism, Transport, Roads and Pavements. I am currently developing a research project at the University of Coimbra, where I am working on an advanced tool that aids in the decision-making, planning, and management of urban systems, improving accessibility, mobility, and connectivity. This work is directly linked to Transport Planning, focusing on Traffic Engineering and Urban Planning. I am also part of the scientific committee of the first edition of the Sustainable Cities Conference, as well as being part of the organization of the event. Finally, I am a collaborator of two research centers: CITTA - Research Center for Territory, Transport, and Environment, in the sub-area of Territorial and Environmental Planning; and INESC-C - Systems and Computing Engineering InstituteCoimbra, in the sub-area of Territorial Planning and Sustainable Cities. I am the founder and the vice-president of Associação Reabilita Coimbra, a non-profit organization that works to provide better housing conditions.
