Graduated in Psychology (2003, ISCTE-IUL), Post-graduated in Services Marketing (2006, GIEM ISCTE-IUL), Master in Psychology (2013, ISCTE-IUL), and PhD in Psychology (Dec, 2019, ISCTE-IUL). My research interests converge in topics related to information processing, decision-making, and ultimately, behavior. I have conducted research on choice deferral and choice utility, approach-avoidance and other embodiment-related manipulations, on over and under-responses to life-changing events such as Covid-19, and currently on how to use nudges and other techniques to trigger positive behavior either related to relationship development in professional care settings, or with pro-environmental choices in the household domain. Besides the recognition asserted by my publications, published in highly ranked journals - J Exp Soc Psychol; Psychol Res; Psychol Market; Cognition Emotion; Eur J Soc Psychol; Exp Psychol; J Experi Social Psych - my work was awarded with ISCTE-IUL Scientific Prizes (2016, 2017, 2018, 2019,2022) and with an honorable mention (Best Paper Award, by the European Social Cognition Network 2016). I am also a committed volunteer in a pro-environmental association targeting ocean research and conservation.
