Claudio Paixão Anastácio de Paula holds a doctorate in Social Psychology in the University of São Paulo - USP (2005), a master's degree in Information Science in the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG (1999), a degree in Psychology (Qualification in Clinical Psychology) in the Minas Gerais Foundation for Education and Culture - FUMEC (1994) and a bachelor's degree and a degree in Psychology also in the Minas Gerais Foundation for Education and Culture - FUMEC (1993). He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Theory and Management (DTGI) at the School of Information Science (ECI) at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and develops the research “Symbolic and affective dimensions of information: building a repertoire of research practices” at ECI / UFMG. He is the leader of the GEDII (Information and Imaginary Studies Office, at PPGCI / ECI / UFMG), researching topics related to informational behaviors and practices and symbolic dimensions of the use of information. He is member researcher of the GECCI (Group of Cognitive Studies in Information Science, at ECI / UFMG) and of the EPIC (Studies of Informational Practices and Culture, at ECI / UFMG), both linked to PPGCI / UFMG. He is also coordinator of the specialization course in "Information and People Management" (GIP) of the Center for Technological and Managerial Information (NITEG) at ECI / UFMG. It has book chapters and articles published on Clinical Information Approach (ICA), unconscious, imagination, information, imaginary, knowledge management, post-modernity, new technologies, psychotherapy, health, health education, mental health, Jungian psychology, Brazilian identity, administration, entrepreneurship and organizational psychology. Among his experiences, includes activities with ACT. Inc. (Company specialized in educational, occupational and professional assessment and certification) in Brazil and at its headquarters in Iowa City, USA - in a partnership with the International Evaluation Institute Sérgio Costa Ribeiro (IIASCR). Having worked in this period as project coordinator for the State Secretariat of Education (MG), the State Planning Secretariat (MG) and Minas Gerais State Federation of Industries (FIEMG). He was one of the creators of the FEAD Faculty Psychology Course. He works in the areas of Information, Imaginary, User Studies, Knowledge Management and Psychology, with an emphasis on Symbolic Relations in Organizations. In his Lattes curriculum, the most frequent terms in the context of scientific, technological and artistic-cultural production are: Clinical Information Approach (ACI), imaginary, subjectivity, symbolic-affective dimensions of information, knowledge management, analytical psychology, Jungian studies, organizational psychology , entrepreneurship, people management and Jung. He has long experience as a clinical psychologist working in a private practice. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the International Association for Junguian Studies and Founding Member of EMDR-Brasil (Brazilian Association of EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an institution affiliated with EMDRIA (EMDR International Association).
